had a pretty cool weekend, thanks to glenn being nice and chauferring me round, we went bowling on saturday night. i haven't been in a year or two and am glad to report that i'm still shit. i kind of dig bowling though, even though i'm rubbish, it's like some weird hobby halfway between a sport and a boardgame.

anyway i crashed at glenn's, spent most of the night trying to sleep but ended up reading the rest of morvern callar instead. it was good. though "good" isn't how i'd describe the feeling of waking up on a couch on sunday morning after four hours sleep. more like "horrendous".

hung out with paul for the afternoon/evening, trawled round some of preston's pubs where he bought me booze. christ, i feel like such a charity case sometimes. anyway it was nice, had time to pop into the d&p and see hudson, he was hard at work smoking fags and drawing t-shirt designs.

in the meantime, nexus lumbers towards coming back online. i think the only thing that really needs doing is a guest account, but that's obviously going to take a while so there's no point delaying nexus till christian sorts it out. dave was telling me about his cunning plans for a "lancaster scene" site as well, sounds like it could be interesting. though god knows if any of us have the energy or willpower to actually develop something like that past the vague ideas stage. but if we did it could be cool.

meanwhile in real life, i'm looking for a job, without much success so far. tomorrow i'm off to the job centre to find out what the score is for the JSA (job seeker's allowance that is, sadly i don't think i get to apply for the justice league of america) and apply for whatever shitty jobs i can find. i'm not doing any sales stuff though, fuck that. i'd rather live on a bench
