this is my exciting review of the radiohead gig at manchester

there there
- a rocking start to the night. are two drummers enough for a band? no! there must be three!

2+2=5
- continued to set a "hail to the thief" theme but with a good rocky style. save the bleeping noises for a bit

lucky
- nice. but one of the rare radiohead songs that i don't think sounds better live

myxomatosis
- the bass in this song threatened to cause mass pants-shitting

where i end and you begin
- like many of the songs on HTTT, this starts off as a dum-de-dum song then goes a bit mental at the end. cool

backdrifts
- bleeping noises. made more scary by crazy lady dancing round and shouting at us

fake plastic trees
- beautiful song, marred slightly by jabbering cunt behind us

paranoid android
- thought "this is the song of the night!". was proved wrong. featured jonny abandoning the guitar to focus on his transistor radio playing

sail to the moon
- by this point i was pondering whether or not to physically attack the cunt behind us

i might be wrong
- best song on amnesiac. rockin'

climbing up the walls
- at this point one of the lights seemed to shine directly into my brain, i felt like philip k dick

my iron lung
- seemed oddly sped up. the kids at the front dug it

sit down, stand up
- the raindrops! the raindrops! welcome return of full on thom yorke spaz dancing

scatterbrain
- thom's voice goes all funny

the national anthem
- BEST BASSLINE LINE EVER

exit music
- lovely lovely lovely song

idioteque
- best song on kid a. made me jerk my body in a spasmodic fashion, if i'd been drunk i might have started breakdancing

first "end"
- darkness and voices

the gloaming
- gig slightly spoilt by the shocking revelation that the entire set isn't live but being played off a cd on jonny's laptop

go to sleep
- this song's grown lots on me since i first heard it. especially the bit at the end when all the buildings go back up again. sadly no buildings or tron yorkes appeared on stage

the bends
- old skool rock, much appreciated by the jumpy people

street spirit
- as proved by experience, not much of a nightclub song, but a fantastic one to stand to while nodding your head slowly. and maybe crying a bit

second "end"
- incorrect piano action

a wolf at the door
- jonny/ed homoeroticism followed up by thom rapping

karma police
- best song of the night. lovely audience participation moment

everything in its right place
- the longest song ever, performed mostly by two men kneeling at either end of the stage

actual end
- "i think it says EVER FOR"
