Here's some "tell us who you are" type thing I found on someone else's blog. Seeing as I appear to be incapable of sleep I thought I'd fill it out and fascinate you all


Universally accepted, the Top Ten: Radiohead, the Smiths, Blur, Nirvana, the Pixies, Pavement, Okkervil River, DJ Shadow, Paul Simon, the Magnetic Fields. (maybe)

Bottom Five Bands: Soundgarden, Dream Theater, Metallica, Limp Bizkit, Pink Floyd. (kind of arbitrarily)

Favorite concert / your dream concert lineup: I haven't seen that many live bands compared to a lot of people. I guess the Radiohead one a few months ago is the best I've been to to date.

Movies, the Top Seven: Taxidriver, Blade Runner, The Third Man, The Seven Samurai, Apocalypse Now, Donnie Darko, The Hudsucker Proxy.

Top Five, TV: I'm Alan Partridge, Brass Eye, Firefly, Black Books, Six Feet Under.

Top Four in Books: The Virgin Suicides by Jeffrey Eugenides, Lord of Light by Roger Zelazny, Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk, The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay by Michael Chabon.

Top 3 Magazines: Hotdog, SFX, X-Ray. (i don't read many magazines)

Clothing store/brand: Meh. I can't imagine having a favourite shop. Anywhere that sold cool stuff would probably be inhabited by cunts anyway. I guess the only brand as such I'm into is Converse.

Typical Style: Little to none... I guess I dress mostly in jeans and a variety of jumpers or shirts, all in colours veering from neutral to dark. I also like t-shirts with funny pictures on or ironic comments that make me look smart, though I am rarely willing to pay the 20+ quid the fuckers seem to cost these days. Shoes are usually my b&w or all-black chucks, or some knackered old reeboks. I guess I "dress for comfort". My style is defined more by shit I wouldn't wear (like, for example, anything sold in Top Man) than things I'm particularly keen to wear.

Hobbies: watching films, writing things, trawling the internet, drinking alcohol, bugging people, not sleeping, staring at girls, being anal about kitchens, touching myself inappropriately.

Dislikes: using the phone, rubbish pets, emotional confrontation (unaided by alcohol), musicians, inconsideracy (mine & others), crowded nightclubs, effort, patronising (myself & others), stranger danger, people telling me what to do, townie pubs, tequila and whiskey, most people.

Who's your favorite presidential candidate for the 2004 election & why?
You'd never guess this was an American quiz would you? Personally I don't care, it seems likely that the stupid cunts will just vote Bush back in anyway.

Abortion? Yay or nay? Why?
Yay! Er, because, you know, they should be able to. I'm not sure it should exactly be a casual choice, but it's obviously up to the mother to make that choice.
