Yes, I know that it's not very hip. It'll never even manage a brief flirtation with counterculture like comics have done. Famous people do it, but they keep quiet about it. You won't hear Quentin Tarantino or Robin Williams showing off their in-depth knowhow in interviews, no sirree. It will be forever sad, in most of the meanings of the word.

What is it? Role playing, of course.

But I still like it. Not because it makes me "alternative". Or because I get to meet cool people through it. Or because it gives me access to a wealth of injokes normal people won't understand. I like it because, when you do it right, it's fun.

That said, I should get off my fucking arse and actually do some. If I leave it much longer before I play again I'll probably forget how dice work.
