Merry Appropriated Secular Holiday!

I'm back at Charlbury enjoying the luxuries of a life of toil, though I ended up getting here a day later than planned due to my pc blowing up. I anti-heart computers. Also, mobile phones. After finding out both my phone and its charger were broken, I scored another phone off Julie and then got a new charger as a Christmas present. And it doesn't fucking work. So either this phone is broken as well, or the charger is broken, or probably both. Sometimes I yearn for the days of vacuum tubes and steam valves.

Anyway aside from that I've been having fun. Ended up watching Alice In Wonderland and Back To The Future during the day, and then the Dr Who Xmas special. I thought it was pretty ace, though that might be helped by the amount of vodka + coke I've drunk since teatime.

Speaking of booze I'm about to head down to the pub to meet up with my brother, then I guess it's back here for charades or cardgames or something like that.

I like Christmas. There's always fuck ups and minor crises and weird arguments going on, but generally it's the only day of the year I find that tries to do something a bit special and more or less succeeds.

That said, no Indiana Jones or Great Escape on telly! What the fuck is that all about?
